Veteran industry supplier Pinnacle Appliances made its name in the RV industry by pioneering all-in-one washer-dryer combos. The Houston-based company’s latest addition continues that reputation, breaking new ground in space-saving developments for RVs with the launch of the CMO 800 Combination Microwave-Oven, a 2-in-1-combination microwave and oven (not a microwave oven), which the company rolled out at this year’s winter distributor shows. “That’s microwave – slash – oven,” says Raymond Padgett, managing partner of ARC Representation & Consulting, the rep firm for Pinnacle. Padgett highlighted the CMO 800 combo’s features and benefits during product seminars at the Arrow and NTP-STAG shows. The CMO 800 is a compact microwave that also functions as an oven. It could easily be mistaken for a microwave oven. Pinnacle Appliances President Atul Vir says that the stainless- steel oven, which comes with a matching stainless trim kit, can operate independently as a microwave or oven, and can be used as a combination of both to significantly speed cooking time. “You can cook a chicken in about 20 minutes,” Vir says of the combination-cooking feature. “The response has been great so far.”

To deliver faster cooking speed, the combination cooking method cycles between microwave and oven cooking, switching between the 800-watt microwave and 1,100-watt oven for 30 seconds each. In addition to faster cooking times, Vir says the product was developed as a space-saver. The unit features 0.8 cubic feet of capacity and weighs 31 pounds. The Combo stands 1 foot tall and 18 inches wide with a total depth of 13 inches. Similar to the washer-dryer combo pioneered by Pinnacle, the Combo Microwave-Oven delivers standard features of both its constituent parts, including defrost setting and digital cook timer in addition to a pizza rack inside. Additional features include auto-weight defrost and six auto-cook options. The Combo Microwave-Oven includes a stainless-steel trim-kit that allows for flush installation in this space-saving appliance. It is backed by a one-year parts and service warranty. What impressed RV PRO: In addition to its sleek, stainless- steel design and small physical footprint, the CMO 800 delivers practicality. The product has appeal to RVers simply for its space-saving qualities, but the addition of faster cooking in its combination mode gives it an edge for on-the-go application.
